A meticulously restored 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I 2+2 coupe, distinguished by its five-speed manual transmission and comprehensive refurbishment, is now available for purchase. The car, which underwent an eight-year restoration process, was most recently acquired by the current owner in May 2025 after being listed on an online auction platform. It is being offered with a clean Arizona title and a substantial collection of documentation.
The Jaguar, originally finished in Silver Grey and Black, was repainted in white during the restoration. The body was disassembled and refinished in 2010, and again in 2019, with brightwork refreshed by Paul’s Chrome Plating. The exterior is complemented by chrome 15-inch wire wheels with two-ear knock-offs, mounted on replacement splined hubs, and wrapped in 185-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, including a matching spare. The seller notes that the chrome trim on the passenger side is misaligned, a minor imperfection in an otherwise detailed presentation.
Under the bonnet, the 4.2-liter inline-six engine was reportedly rebuilt by Coventry West of Lithonia, Georgia. It is equipped with triple SU carburetors, polished valve covers, and an electronic distributor from 123ignition. The engine bay also features a fuel pump, aluminum radiator, electric fan, Lucas alternator, and a voltage regulator, all installed during the refurbishment. A spin-on oil-filter conversion and a CoolCat Express radiator and fan handle cooling duties. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a JT5 five-speed manual transmission sourced from, replacing the original four-speed unit, which is included in the sale. The rear differential has also been rebuilt.
The interior has been re-trimmed in tan leather, with BAS International materials used for the seats and interior panels. The cabin features Coco Mats, a replacement wiring harness from Rhode Island Wiring Service, and Koolmat insulation. The front bucket seats were reupholstered, and chrome trim was re-plated. The seller has addressed several details since acquisition, including replacing the steering wheel with a smaller-diameter unit, installing new steering column bushings, and replacing the driver’s window regulator and sway bar links. The seat runners were replaced under prior ownership. Two holes in the driver-side door panel have been repaired, and two dimples are present in the driver’s doorsill.
The dashboard houses a 160-mph Smiths speedometer, which reads high, along with a clock and tachometer that have been rebuilt with modern internals. Auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 38,000 miles, with approximately 200 added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown. The car rides on an overhauled suspension, with Wilwood front disc brakes and the removed front calipers utilized at the rear. A stainless-steel exhaust system with polished center-mounted finishers completes the mechanical package.
The sale includes a Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate, which confirms the original colors and drivetrain numbers, as well as build and dispatch dates. Refurbishment records and photos, a tool set, and a jack are also included. This XKE represents a fully sorted example of the iconic Series I 2+2, offering a blend of classic styling and modern drivability.
