A 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe, representing the first generation of the water-cooled 996, has been listed for sale with 89,000 miles and a documented history of significant recent investment. The car is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over black leather and is powered by a 3.4-litre M96 flat-six engine paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. It is offered with owner's manuals, two keys, service records, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Indiana title.

The seller acquired the car in 2023 and has since overseen work said to total more than $30,000. This included inspecting the cylinder walls, fitting an LN Engineering dual-row IMS solution, and replacing the rear main seal, clutch, tensioner slide rails, spark plugs, ignition coils, water pump, thermostat, and engine mounts. An X51-style baffled oil pan, low-temperature thermostat, and Ultimate air/oil separator were also installed. The most recent oil change was carried out in September 2026.

Chassis upgrades are equally comprehensive. Öhlins Road & Track coilovers were fitted in 2023, along with replacement lower control arms, Tarett Engineering drop links, front monoball camber plates, and rear monoball shock mounts. Braking is handled by four-piston Porsche-branded calipers with cross-drilled rotors, Brembo pads, and stainless-steel lines. The car rides on black-finished 18-inch Apex SM-10 wheels mounted with 235/40 front and 295/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.

Exterior equipment includes an electric sunroof, xenon headlights, integrated fog lights, tinted windows, a deployable rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets with polished finishers. The exhaust system has been modified with a Fabspeed muffler-bypass pipe and a Cargraphic X-pipe with 200-cell catalytic converters. Inside, the power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in black leather that extends to the folding rear seats. Additional appointments include automatic climate control, driver-seat position memory, cruise control, a Kenwood digital-media stereo, and an aftermarket sound system. A short-throw shifter with a carbon-fibre knob has been added, and the three-spoke steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and central tachometer.

The 3.4-litre flat-six was factory rated at 296 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle, with a replacement clutch, slave cylinder, and pedal-return spring installed in 2023. Transmission fluid was changed the following year. The digital odometer shows 89,000 miles, approximately 5,000 of which were added under current ownership. The ignition switch was reportedly replaced in 2023.

This 996.1 coupe is a representative example of the model that marked Porsche's shift to water-cooled engines, a change that initially divided enthusiasts but has since become accepted as part of the 911's evolution. The 996 generation is increasingly recognised for its blend of performance and usability, and well-maintained examples with extensive service history are sought after by collectors and drivers alike. The car's Arctic Silver Metallic paint and black leather interior are a classic combination, and the options sticker confirms features including eight-way power-adjustable seats, a HiFi sound system, and leather rear seats.

The sale presents an opportunity for buyers seeking a documented, enthusiast-owned 911 with significant recent expenditure on known weak points such as the IMS bearing and rear main seal. With its clean Carfax report and comprehensive records, the car is positioned as a turnkey example of the 996 Carrera coupe.
