A 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, one of only 410 examples built for the United States market, is being offered for sale at no reserve in Tennessee. The car has covered just 8,000 miles from new and carries a clean Montana title, according to the selling dealer.

The 997.1-generation GT3 RS was ordered with approximately $11,000 in Exclusive Options, and its original window sticker lists a total price of $156,365, including initial delivery to Herb Chambers Porsche of Boston, Massachusetts. The car is finished in orange over black leather and Alcantara, with black side graphics and RS badging.

Power comes from a 3.6-litre Mezger flat-six engine featuring VarioCam variable valve timing, titanium connecting rods and dry-sump lubrication. Factory output was rated at 415 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The engine is linked to a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, sending drive to the rear wheels.

The track-focused RS model is distinguished from the standard 997 GT3 by a carbon-fibre rear wing, wider quarter panels, model-specific side stripes and badging. This example also features bi-xenon headlights with washers, a body-colour front spoiler, fog lights, LED taillights and dual centre-mounted exhaust outlets.

It rides on 19-inch black-finished alloy wheels wearing Michelin tyres mounted in August 2026, though the left-rear wheel shows curb damage. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over ceramic-composite rotors. The car was factory-equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) featuring adjustable coilovers, and a brake fluid flush was performed in preparation for the sale.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in black leather and Alcantara with contrasting stitching that extends to the dashboard, centre console and door panels. Body-colour trim accents the cabin. Equipment includes Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment, navigation, a CD stereo, a fire extinguisher, carbon-fibre illuminated door sill guards and automatic climate control. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus adds a stopwatch atop the dashboard.

The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames a central GT3-branded tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 8,000 miles, approximately 250 of which were added under current ownership.

Recent maintenance in August 2026 included an oil change and replacement of the oil pressure plug seal, air filters and spark plugs. An associated invoice notes oil seeping from the crankcase. A DME report is provided with the car.

The sale includes a window sticker, owner's manual, service records, a Porsche Production Specifications sheet, a DME report and a clean Carfax report. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2026. It is now offered in Tennessee with a clean Montana title.

The 997.1 GT3 RS remains a benchmark for analogue Porsche performance, pairing a high-revving naturally aspirated engine with a manual gearbox at a time when such combinations are increasingly rare. With just 8,000 miles and a no-reserve listing, this example is likely to attract significant attention from collectors and enthusiasts alike.
