A 2013 McLaren 12C Spider finished in red is being offered for sale at no reserve, giving collectors a rare chance to acquire a modern British supercar without a minimum price. The car has covered 34,000 miles and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle.

The 12C Spider was McLaren Automotive's first volume production road car, launched after the company re-established itself as a standalone manufacturer in 2010. Its Formula 1-inspired engineering includes a one-piece moulded carbon-fibre tub, which forms the central structure of the car and provides exceptional rigidity while keeping weight low. The body panels are made from plastic composite materials, and the car features dihedral doors that open upwards and forwards.

This example is equipped with a power-operated folding hardtop, bi-xenon headlights, an active rear spoiler, front and rear parking sensors, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes that paint protection film has been applied to the exterior. The car rides on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear ten-spoke forged wheels wrapped in Michelin tyres. Braking is handled by six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers over 14.6-inch and 13.7-inch rotors respectively.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in black leather with red fabric inserts that extend to the door panels. Heated power-adjustable seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, carpeted floor mats, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a Meridian sound system are all present. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is fitted with paddle shifters and sits ahead of a central tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline, an inset digital speedometer, and dual multifunction screens.

The digital odometer reads 34,000 miles, approximately 5,000 of which were added under current ownership. The seller purchased the car in 2021. The twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 features a flat-plane crankshaft and dry-sump lubrication, producing a factory-rated 616 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle. The car is equipped with Launch Control and Electronic Stability Control with Winter, Normal, Sport, and Track modes, while McLaren's ProActive Chassis Control system allows adjustable ride and suspension settings.

Maintenance records indicate that the hydraulic suspension pressure accumulators were replaced in 2021, along with the camshaft phasers, and fluid leaks were repaired that same year. An oil change was performed in July 2026. The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage, and the car is offered with a clean Georgia title in the name of the seller's LLC.

The McLaren 12C Spider occupies a significant place in recent automotive history as the model that established McLaren as a serious rival to established supercar makers such as Ferrari and Lamborghini. Its carbon-fibre monocoque and active suspension were advanced for their time, and the Spider variant added open-air driving without sacrificing structural integrity. With values of early 12C models having depreciated considerably from their original list price, examples in good condition are increasingly viewed as attainable entry points into modern supercar ownership.

The car was previously offered on the same auction platform in October 2026 and is now listed again at no reserve. The auction includes the clean Carfax report and the Georgia title. Prospective buyers should note the 34,000-mile odometer reading and the documented 2021 maintenance work, which addressed known weak points on the 12C including suspension accumulators and camshaft phasers.
