A 1999 Ferrari 550 Maranello, built for the European market and imported to the United States in March 2001, has been listed for sale on dealer consignment. The car shows 42,000 miles and is equipped with the desirable Fiorano Handling Package, a factory option that added stiffer springs and a revised steering rack for sharper responses.

Power comes from a 5.5-litre F133A quad-cam V12 with Bosch Motronic engine management and dry-sump lubrication. Factory rated at 485 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque, it drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A timing-belt service was performed and the spark plugs were replaced in May 2025, according to the listing. A Capristo exhaust system has been added, enhancing the V12’s soundtrack.

The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in Nero DS, with a central hood scoop, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, fog lights, a crosshatch grille with a central Cavallino Rampante badge, power-operated heated side mirrors, and a quad-exit exhaust. The seller notes that older clear paint-protection film is present on the nose. The car rides on 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with yellow prancing horse centre caps, mounted with Bridgestone tyres. Suspension is independent front and rear with unequal-length wishbones and telescopic rear shock absorbers, while cross-drilled and ventilated rotors provide stopping power at all four corners.

Inside, the cabin features power-adjustable carbon fibre Daytona-style seats trimmed in Nero leather, complemented by carbon fibre on the centre console, handbrake, door sills, and door panels. A gated shifter with a carbon fibre knob, a remote CD changer, an Alpine head unit, a radar detector, and automatic climate control are among the amenities. A McIntosh amplifier is stationed in the trunk, and a fire extinguisher is secured ahead of the passenger seat. The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a Jaeger carbon fibre gauge cluster with a 220-mph speedometer and a 10,000-rpm tachometer, alongside coolant temperature and oil pressure gauges. An analogue clock and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level sit atop the centre stack. The diamond-quilted parcel shelf with leather straps adds a further touch of luxury.

The car is offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean New Jersey title. A Symbol Automobile S.A. document included in the gallery confirms the Fiorano Handling Package. The odometer shows 42,000 miles. This 550 Maranello represents a rare opportunity to acquire a European-specification example of Ferrari’s front-engined V12 grand tourer, complete with a manual gearbox and a well-documented service history.
