A 1967 Ford Mustang fastback that has been transformed into a GT500E-style build is being offered for sale in Canada, complete with a built 437ci FE stroker V8, a four-speed manual transmission, and a comprehensive list of modern performance and interior upgrades. The car, which left the factory with an S-code 390ci V8 and an automatic transmission, was the subject of a full build completed around 2025. It is now presented by a selling dealer who acquired it in 2026, and it comes with build records, a Deluxe Marti report, and British Columbia registration.

The heart of the machine is a 427ci FE V8 that was assembled by Richmond Engines of Surrey, British Columbia, and stroked to 437ci. The build uses a SCAT 4.25-inch-stroke crankshaft, I-beam connecting rods, custom forged pistons, a hydraulic roller camshaft, PW aluminium cylinder heads, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, a Melling oil pump, and a Canton T-sump oil pan. A nitrous injection system has been added, and four-into-one headers feed a dual exhaust system. An aluminium radiator is cooled by twin electric fans. Dyno testing in October 2018 recorded peak output of 507 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque. Power reaches the rear wheels through a retrofitted Toploader four-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch rear end.

The exterior has been stripped and rebuilt with Eleanor-style elements before being painted metallic grey with black over-the-top stripes. Details include a bulged hood with exposed locks, centre-mounted fog lights, side-exit exhaust outlets, bullet-style side mirrors, a polished fuel filler cap, a rear spoiler, and GT500 badging. Halo front indicators have been installed, along with blue accent lighting in the side scoops and wheel wells. The car rides on 20-inch American Racing wheels with faux three-eared spinners. The chassis has been upgraded with a Chris Alston’s Chassisworks adjustable coilover conversion kit and power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, while braking is handled by Wilwood discs at all four corners.

Inside, the cabin features bolstered front bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl with Carroll Shelby embroidery on the upper seatbacks, matched by a colour-coordinated rear seat, dash pad, and door panels. A Hurst shifter is topped with a «Go Baby Go» knob, and power outlets are concealed in the centre console. A retro-style digital media receiver has been added, along with aluminium pedal pads and toggle-switch controls. An LED starlight headliner is fitted, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column ahead of Classic Instruments Carroll Shelby Signature gauges, including a 160-mph speedometer, a 10,000-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary dials. An AutoMeter clock and voltmeter sit in the centre console. The digital odometer shows 229 miles.

Audio equipment includes an Alpine amplifier in the trunk connected to dual Alpine R-series subwoofers, while a nitrous-oxide bottle is mounted behind the rear seat. The Deluxe Marti report lists factory equipment, colours, and production statistics, along with a build date of 17 January 1967. A removed 390ci V8 long block is included in the sale, and dyno test results for the engine are presented in the gallery. Photos taken at various stages of the build are also available. The vehicle is being sold on its registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia.
