Kia reported another record October in the United States and says the new 2027 EV3 should keep sales momentum going into the fourth quarter and 2027.

Kia is on track for a fourth consecutive annual sales record in the United States after posting another record-breaking October. The company says the arrival of its new 2027 EV3 electric SUV, priced from around $30,000, should help sustain that momentum through the fourth quarter and well into 2027.
Kia has said it is « confident » in the outlook. The EV3 is positioned as an affordable entry into electric SUVs, and its dealer arrival marks the point at which buyers can begin to test drive and order the model. The timing matters for a brand that has leaned on electrification as a central part of its sales strategy in recent years.
The broader context is a competitive market in which carmakers are racing to bring lower-priced electric models to showrooms. Premium rivals are also expanding their electric lineups, with BMW preparing its own electric performance SUV for an early 2028 launch. Reports on that model suggest it will be built on the Neue Klasse platform and use four motors, with output expected to exceed 800 horsepower. BMW has not officially confirmed those specifications, and the details could still change before showroom arrival.
For Kia, the combination of record monthly results and a lower-cost electric addition suggests the company is using its pricing to widen the appeal of electric vehicles beyond early adopters. Whether the EV3 can sustain the sales pace the company is forecasting will become clearer as deliveries build through the coming quarters.
