1959 Cadillac Series 62 Six-Window Sedan Heads to Auction
A refurbished 1959 Cadillac Series 62 six-window sedan, finished in Georgian Blue over gray cloth, is offered with an Arizona title after recent brake and fuel system work.

A 1959 Cadillac Series 62 six-window sedan has been listed for sale, offering collectors a chance to acquire one of the most recognisable American luxury cars of the tail-fin era. The car, finished in Georgian Blue with a white roof and a gray cloth interior, underwent refurbishment work at some point before the selling dealer acquired it in 2025.
The Series 62 was the volume model in Cadillac's range for 1959, and the six-window sedan body style features a distinctive wraparound rear window and a pillarless side profile. This example retains its factory-specified colour combination and a number of desirable options, including a power-adjustable front bench seat, power door locks, and power windows. A decoding of the body plate confirms these features, along with Soft Ray glass, a heater, and air conditioning, although the air conditioning system is currently not working.
Power comes from a 390-cubic-inch V8 engine, factory-rated at 325 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine is linked to a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, which sends drive to the rear wheels. The fuel system was serviced under current ownership, and the selling dealer reports that the brakes were also attended to. The car rides on 15-inch steel wheels with polished covers and whitewall tires, and it benefits from power steering and power-assisted drum brakes at all four corners.
The exterior has been repainted at some point under prior ownership, while the white roof, power antenna, and tail fins with integrated taillights remain intact. Inside, the bench seats have been reupholstered in gray with velour inserts. The two-tone, two-spoke steering wheel with a horn ring fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. An aftermarket temperature gauge is fitted below the dashboard. The radio powers on but produces no sound, and the five-digit odometer shows 15,000 miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The car is offered with an Arizona title, which is currently in transit and may cause a delay in delivery to the winning bidder. The Series 62 represents a high point of Cadillac's post-war styling, and examples in this condition continue to attract interest from enthusiasts of American automotive design.
