A 1997 Chevrolet C1500 Cheyenne pickup, rebuilt with a 6.0-liter V8, a four-speed automatic and a lowered suspension, is being offered at no reserve. The truck, finished in Light Blue Metallic over gray cloth, has a damage-free Carfax report and a clean Alabama title in the seller's name.
The seller bought the truck in 2023. In 2025 the frame was removed and refreshed before the powertrain, suspension and brake upgrades were added. Power comes from a 6.0-liter LQ4 V8 linked to a 4L80E four-speed automatic with a Tow/Haul mode. Both were taken from a 2006 Chevrolet Express 3100 with 117,000 miles and installed in the truck in 2025. The rear axle, a 12-bolt with a Positraction differential and 3.73:1 gears, was sourced from a 1969 C10.
The truck rides lower than stock. Up front it has Wilwood ProSpindles and BellTech lowering springs and shocks. At the rear it has a Watts four-link setup, QA1 coilovers and air helper springs. MOOG suspension bushings are fitted, and the body bushings, headlights and taillights were replaced during the build. Braking is handled by a Wilwood Superlite six-piston front setup, a Classic Performance disc conversion at the rear, a Wilwood proportioning valve and a GMT800-style master cylinder. The seller says the ABS system has been removed. The 18-inch Vision Legend Series wheels are shod with Pirelli P Zero tyres.
The interior has two-tone gray cloth seats and an instrument cluster said to come from a 1999 Cadillac Escalade. A later-style shift lever with a Tow/Haul button has been installed. The gauges include a 120-mph speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer and auxiliary gauges. The seller notes that the stereo's wiring and connector have been cut. Air conditioning is present and a compressor is installed, but the system is not connected, and the seller is unsure whether the HVAC controls work. Cracks in the dash pad have been repaired with epoxy, and the headliner needs replacing.
The odometer reads 156,000 miles, with roughly 2,000 added under the current owner. A June 2016 Carfax entry records 148,000 miles. The speedometer needle jumps intermittently. Cosmetic issues include dents, paint chips and two areas of corrosion on the leading edge of the hood. Replacement parts include a wiring harness, a GMT800-style radiator and cooling fans, new exhaust manifolds and oxygen sensors, and an AP Express Xlerator stainless steel muffler with dual resonators.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage. It also notes that the truck was registered in a county that FEMA declared a flood disaster area in September 2005, although the seller reports no damage was sustained. Photos from various stages of the build are included in the listing gallery.
