A rare 2006 Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG Avantgarde wagon, originally sold in the Japanese market, is going under the hammer at no reserve through the Bring a Trailer online auction platform. The car is one of a reported 595 built worldwide, and its combination of a large V8 and estate bodywork makes it an unusual proposition for collectors and enthusiasts.

The vehicle was imported to Canada in 2021 and was acquired by the selling dealer, Executive Mercedes & AMG Collection, in 2026. It is being offered with import documents, service records and British Columbia registration. Because there is no reserve, the car will be sold to the highest bidder regardless of the final price.

Under the bonnet sits a 5.4-litre M113 V8, which the factory rated at 362 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed AMG automatic transmission. The combination was a hallmark of AMG performance estates of the period, pairing practical load-carrying space with a powertrain more often associated with saloons and coupes.

The odometer reads about 92,000 kilometres, or roughly 57,000 miles. Around 500 miles have been added under the current ownership. The vehicle carries a clean Carfax report with no accidents reported, although the AMG alloy wheels show curb rash, a sign of ordinary kerbside wear that prospective buyers will want to inspect in person.

Finished in Iridium Silver Metallic paint over black Nappa leather, the car is equipped with bi-xenon headlights, a sunroof, Parktronic parking sensors and heated front seats. The infotainment system is a Sony unit that includes a rearview camera and supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, updates that help bring an older performance car in line with modern expectations for daily use.

Recent maintenance has focused on routine and wear-related items. The windshield washer pump was replaced in July 2025, and an oil change was carried out the same month, along with replacement of the oil filter housing and valve cover gasket. The front brake pads and rotors, along with the hood struts, were replaced in April 2023, and the tyres were mounted in June 2022. Records of this work are included in the sale.

The no-reserve format means the outcome will be set entirely by bidding on the day. For a model that was built in limited numbers and has crossed several markets, the auction offers a chance to acquire a documented example with a known ownership trail and a service file that spans several years.
