A 2002 BMW M Coupe, one of 18 examples in Titanium Silver finish with Black Nappa interior destined for North America, is offered at auction with no reserve price. The vehicle is presented with its factory sticker and owner's manual, two elements that add to its appeal for enthusiasts of the brand's models.
The vehicle was delivered new by the dealership Gebhardt Motors in Boulder, Colorado, where it was registered until the recent sale. Its odometer shows approximately 129,000 miles, with about 2,000 added under the current ownership. The manufacturer's suggested retail price was $45,935. The Carfax report is clean, and the Oregon certificate of title, also clear, is in the name of the seller, who acquired the car last September from a second owner who had held the vehicle for two decades.
Under the hood is the 3.2-liter S54B32 inline-six engine, equipped with the dual VANOS variable valve timing system. According to manufacturer data, it produces 315 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. A Dinan air intake and ECU reprogramming have been installed. The five-speed ZF manual gearbox is paired with a limited-slip rear differential. The rod bearings have been replaced and the oil pan resealed last September. An oil change was performed the following month, and the transmission fluid was changed in October.
On the chassis side, the car rides on 17-inch Style 40 shadow-finish wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. It features ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels, along with dynamic stability control and AST systems. The steering angle sensor was recalibrated before listing. Equipment also includes a power sunroof, fender air vents, a rear wiper, dual exhaust, heated sport seats in black and dark grey Nappa leather, a Harman Kardon sound system, cruise control, and a CD radio.
The seller does not state whether the rod bearing work fully resolves any earlier engine issues. As the auction is conducted with no reserve, the final price remains undetermined at this stage.
