A 1964 Mercedes-Benz 220SEb coupe, purchased new in Germany and imported to the US by its original owner, is offered for sale with refurbished leather upholstery, recent mechanical work, and a documented history.

A 1964 Mercedes-Benz 220SEb coupe that was purchased new in Germany and later imported to the United States by its original owner is now being offered for sale. The car was acquired by the seller from the original owner's family last year, and it comes with the owner's manual, records, a set of black California license plates, and a clean California title in the seller's name.
The W111 coupe is finished in Black and features US-market forward lighting, a wrap-around rear window, front vent windows, and chrome bumpers. The paint shows fading and signs of wear, and corrosion is noted at the front of the right rocker panel and on the left-side C-pillar. There is a dent in the grille and another in the fender lip, and the weather seals are worn out. The left-side mirror adjustment does not work. The 13-inch steel wheels feature full covers and Maxxis tyres fitted within the last year.
Under the bonnet, the 2.2-litre M127 inline-six engine is equipped with Bosch mechanical fuel injection and was factory rated at 120 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Work beginning in December 2025 included replacing the ignition coil, distributor cap, ignitor, and spark plugs, along with the air filter, engine oil, and various hoses. The exhaust system was replaced and a fuel-injector service was performed in January 2026. The braking system, which uses front discs and rear drums, had its fluid flushed in December 2025.
The cabin has been refurbished with Tan Beige leather upholstery and carpeting from GAHH Automotive, covering the individual front seats and rear bench. The carpeting and hat tray have also been replaced. Amenities include lap belts, a steering column-mounted gear selector, a dashboard-mounted clock, and a heater. Imperfections include cracked wood trim, a tear in the right side of the dashboard, and cracks in the right door card. The Becker Mexico radio does not work. The two-spoke Ivory steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 69,000 miles.
The suspension comprises an independent double-wishbone front setup with coil springs and a rear single-joint swing axle. The car is offered with a data plate decoding to 040G Black paint. This example represents a well-documented W111 coupe with recent maintenance, though cosmetic flaws and non-functional components are present. It is now available for bidding.
