A 2000 Mercedes-Benz SL500 in Glacier White is being offered for sale, with its seller presenting it as a carefully maintained example of the R129-generation roadster. The car shows 51,000 miles on the odometer and comes with a clean Carfax report that lists no reported accidents or damage, along with a clean California title in the seller's name. The seller acquired the car in 2026.

The car's history begins with its original delivery to Prevision Cars in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The window sticker lists a total retail price of $86,725, a figure that underlines how expensive the model was when new. The current owner's documentation also shows that the vehicle has remained in the hands of its previous owners with records of routine and corrective work carried out over the years.

Under the bonnet sits a 5.0-litre M113 V8 rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and drives the rear wheels. The seller reports that the water pump was replaced in 2025, the oil was changed in 2026, and the hydraulic cylinders that operate the soft top were replaced in 2023, all maintenance items that bear directly on the car's day-to-day usability.

The car is supplied with two roofs: a removable hardtop and a tan soft top. It rides on 18-inch AMG Monoblock wheels fitted with Prinx tyres, with spacers measuring 15mm at the front and 20mm at the rear. Exterior details include xenon headlights, fog lights and fender air vents. The seller notes holes in the front bumper left behind after a number plate bracket was removed.

Inside, the cabin is finished in Java Nappa leather, with heated power seats that include a memory function. Burl wood accents adorn the doors and centre stack. The car carries its factory Bose sound system alongside an aftermarket Bluetooth stereo, and it is equipped with automatic climate control, cruise control and a deployable roll bar. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS complete the safety and running gear.

The seller has been candid about the car's wear. Trim near the sun visors is cracked, there is a gap near the seatbelts, and the driver's door compartment is loose. The seats show wear, and the steering wheel is discoloured, with its black cover showing signs of deterioration. These are cosmetic and comfort issues rather than reported mechanical faults, but they will matter to buyers weighing the car's condition against its price.
