A 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe de Ville, rebuilt with a supercharged 6.2-litre LSA V8 and modern chassis components, is offered for sale with a Nevada title.

A 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe de Ville that has been comprehensively rebuilt with modern running gear is being offered for sale, bringing together mid-century American styling and contemporary performance. The car was acquired by its current owner in 2021 as an unfinished but painted project, and final assembly was completed by the seller.
The centrepiece of the build is a supercharged 6.2-litre LSA V8 sourced from a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V, installed in 2024. It is paired with a 6L90 six-speed automatic transmission and a custom-built Dana 60 rear axle assembly from Strange Engineering. Cooling is handled by an aluminium radiator, twin Spal electric fans and a Derale fan controller, while an American Autowire and PSI wiring solution manages the electronics. The engine bay also features push-lock fuel lines with AN fittings, an auxiliary fluid reservoir and a Cadillac V-series supercharger cover. Fuel is stored in a bespoke 18-gallon aluminium tank mounted beneath the trunk floor, and the frame has been modified to accommodate the mechanical changes. A dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers completes the powertrain package.
The chassis has been similarly transformed. The car rides on an adjustable Ridetech ShockWave suspension with integrated air springs, front A-arms developed by Speed Tech and rear leaf springs. Braking is provided by Wilwood anti-lock discs, with six-piston calipers over 15-inch front rotors and four-piston calipers with 13-inch rotors at the rear. The system is electrically assisted. Rack-and-pinion steering and an electronic emergency brake have also been specified. White-finished 18-inch Detroit Steel wheels, powder-coated in August 2026, wear Kumho tyres and chrome hubcaps.
The body is finished in Atomic Orange Metallic, a 2007 General Motors shade applied under prior ownership. Exterior details include a chrome hood ornament, an egg-crate front grille, rear wheel skirts, vertical tailfins and exhaust outlets integrated into the rear bumpers. The side and rear glass is said to have been replaced, while the windshield is reported to be a factory unit. The seller notes that the door key locks do not function, the power window flippers require adjustment and the windshield wipers are not operational.
Inside, the cabin has been reworked with distressed brown vinyl upholstery and diamond-stitched inserts. The six-way manually adjustable front bucket seats are said to have been sourced from a 2001 Chevrolet Cruze. Matching upholstery extends to the door panels, dash pad and a custom centre console that houses a storage compartment, a Sony touchscreen infotainment unit, cupholders and power window switches. Other appointments include an under-dash Vintage Air climate control system, woven floor mats and aftermarket speakers. The trunk is trimmed with woven mats and leather upholstery, and a custom bulkhead covers the air tank and compressors. A three-spoke steering wheel with a full horn ring sits on a chrome tilting column, and a digital instrument cluster is installed in the leather-padded dashboard. The digital odometer shows 1,000 miles, said to represent mileage since the build was completed; total mileage is unknown.
The car is offered with a Nevada title in the seller’s name. The title carries an Exempt odometer brand, and the vehicle is titled by the VIN 556290341. The sale presents an opportunity for buyers seeking a classic Cadillac with modern drivability and performance, though the listed faults and the nature of a custom build mean a thorough inspection is advisable.
