A European-market 1984 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole, finished in Rosso over Nero leather and fitted with a five-speed manual transaxle, is offered for sale with a clean Carfax report and a Pennsylvania antique title.

A European-market 1984 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole is being offered for sale, presenting collectors with a well-documented example of the Maranello marque's defining V8 sports car of the 1980s. The car is finished in Rosso over Nero leather upholstery and is powered by a mid-mounted 2.9-litre quad-cam V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
The seller purchased the car in 2023 and has added approximately 650 miles since, bringing the six-digit odometer to 68,000 miles. During that period, a timing belt service was reportedly completed in 2026, at which time the spark plugs and wires, fuel pump, fuel injectors and air conditioning compressor were replaced. The brake fluid was also changed in 2026. The air conditioning system remains inoperative, which the seller attributes to the compressor requiring shimming.
The 2.9-litre V8 features four valves per cylinder and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, and was factory rated at 230 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. Power reaches the rear wheels through the five-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential. The car rides on a fully independent suspension with double wishbones front and rear, while ventilated discs at each corner provide stopping power.
Exterior details include a black removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, dual side mirrors, a vented decklid and quad exhaust outlets. The car was finished from the factory in Rosso and has been recently refinished. It sits on silver 390mm Cromodora alloy wheels mounted with Michelin TRX tyres carrying 2004 date codes.
Inside, bolstered seats trimmed in Nero leather are matched by door panels in the same material. Equipment includes a cassette stereo, electric windows and a gated shifter with a dogleg gear pattern. A leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel fronts Veglia instrumentation, including a replacement 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,700-rpm redline and supplementary gauges. Additional readouts are mounted ahead of the shifter.
The 308 GTS Quattrovalvole occupies a significant place in Ferrari's history. Introduced as an evolution of the 308 range, the Quattrovalvole name refers to the four-valve-per-cylinder cylinder heads that replaced the earlier two-valve design, boosting output and refining the car's character. The targa-roofed GTS body style, with its removable roof panel, made the model a popular choice among buyers seeking open-air driving without sacrificing the structural rigidity of a fixed-roof berlinetta.
