A 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider with just 18,000 miles on the odometer and a six-speed manual transaxle featuring a gated shifter is being offered for sale, presenting collectors with a rare opportunity to acquire a modern classic that combines open-top V8 performance with one of the most engaging gearboxes ever fitted to a road-going Ferrari.
The car is finished in Grigio Titanio over gray leather and is powered by a mid-mounted 3.6-litre Tipo F131 V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft, dry-sump lubrication, dual overhead camshafts and five valves per cylinder. Factory-rated output was 400 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. The Pininfarina-designed aluminium body features a power-retractable black convertible soft top, xenon headlights and quad exhaust outlets exiting through the rear fascia. Scuderia Ferrari fender shields and a Challenge-style rear grille have been added, and the bumper covers were repainted and a ceramic coating applied in 2022.
The seller acquired the car in 2009 and has added approximately 5,000 miles since. Recent work in August 2026 included a belt service, an oil change, an air conditioning recharge, replacement of the right valve cover gasket and fitment of Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres on the 18-inch two-piece BBS alloy wheels. The clutch was replaced in 2010 at 14,000 miles, and the rollover shutoff valves were replaced in 2018 at 16,000 miles. The convertible top elastic and several hydraulic cylinders have also been replaced under current ownership, and the alarm siren was renewed in preparation for the sale.
Inside, power-adjustable Daytona-style seats are upholstered in gray leather with matching door panel inserts and carpets. The cabin retains its gated shifter, CD stereo, automatic climate control and aluminium pedals. The left driver's seat bolster was re-dyed in 2022, the dashboard has been recovered and sticky surfaces addressed. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline, a digital fuel level readout and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows 18,000 miles.
Stopping power comes from red-finished Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors. The car is equipped with a Tubi Style exhaust system. Some imperfections are noted on the wheels. The sale includes a window sticker listing initial delivery to The Collection of Coral Gables, Florida, with a total retail price of $177,807, plus an owner's manual, service records, a car cover and a clean Carfax report free of accidents or reported damage. The listed lien has been released, and the Texas title carries an «Actual Mileage» notation.
The 360 Spider occupies a significant place in Ferrari's modern history as the company's first fully aluminium convertible, and examples with the six-speed manual transaxle are increasingly sought after by enthusiasts who prize the tactile gated shifter over the automated F1 paddle-shift system that was also offered. With its documented service history, low mileage and desirable specification, this example represents a well-preserved slice of early-2000s Italian engineering at its most charismatic.
