Low-Mileage Ferrari F430 Spider with Manual Gearbox Heads to Auction
A 2006 Ferrari F430 Spider with a six-speed manual transaxle and just 12,000 miles is offered at no reserve, drawing attention from collectors who prize the open-gate shifter.

A 2006 Ferrari F430 Spider equipped with a six-speed manual transaxle and showing just 12,000 miles is being offered for sale at no reserve. The car, a Canadian-market example that remained registered in British Columbia and Alberta before being imported to the United States earlier this year, is finished in Rosso Corsa over Nero leather and carries a clean Arizona title.
The F430 Spider was specified from new with a gated shifter, a feature that has become increasingly sought after as Ferrari moved toward automated manual and dual-clutch transmissions in subsequent models. The car also features 19-inch Challenge alloy wheels, carbon-fibre interior trim, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, cross-drilled and ventilated brake rotors, and a power-retractable Nero soft top. The Pininfarina-designed body includes xenon headlights and quad exhaust tips exiting on either side of the rear diffuser.
Power comes from a mid-mounted 4.3-litre F136 V8 with Bosch Motronic engine management and a dry-sump lubrication system. Factory-rated output was 483 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque. The engine benefits from a major service in April 2022 that included replacement of the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, air filters, and fluids, while the oil was changed in September 2026. The transaxle was disassembled, repaired, and resealed in February 2022. Suspension bushings and brake components were replaced in June 2024, and the brake fluid was flushed most recently in September 2026.
The cockpit features bucket seats upholstered in Nero leather, with matching centre console, doors, and carpeting. Carbon-fibre trim adorns the cabin, and equipment includes automatic climate control, a CD stereo, drilled aluminium pedals, and power windows and locks. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel is equipped with an engine-start button and a manettino dial for control of dynamic settings. Instrumentation includes a red-dial central tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline, a 220-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 12,000 miles.
The car rides on 19-inch Challenge alloy wheels mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres showing date codes from 2025 and 2026. Stopping is handled by black-finished brake calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors. The sale includes a reproduction window sticker, owner’s manuals, service records, a battery tender, and a clean Carfax report free from accidents or other reported damage.
For collectors, the combination of a manual gearbox, low mileage, and documented service history makes this F430 Spider a notable offering. The gated shifter in particular connects the car to an earlier era of Ferrari road cars, before the widespread adoption of paddle-shift transmissions. With no reserve, the auction will determine its market value when the hammer falls.
