A 1996 Jaguar XJS 2+2 Celebration Edition convertible with 36,000 miles is being offered for sale on behalf of its owner, whose father has held the car for much of its life. The car stayed with its original owner in Michigan and Florida before being bought in 2026 by the current seller, who has driven only a handful of those miles himself.

The car was ordered with the Weather Package and carries edition-specific details including a wood-trimmed steering wheel and 16-inch alloy wheels. It is finished in Spindrift White over Oatmeal leather and is powered by a 4.0-litre inline-six linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The factory rating for the engine was 237 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. Power goes to the rear wheels.

Equipment includes a beige power-retractable soft top with a matching top boot, heated power-adjustable front sport seats, automatic climate control, cruise control and power windows. The interior is trimmed with Walnut woodgrain, and the steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage and fuel level. Exterior touches include a Leaper hood ornament, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, headlight washers and a telescoping antenna.

The seller has supplied the window sticker, manufacturer literature and a clean Carfax report that shows no accidents or other damage, along with a clean Michigan title in the owner's name. The window sticker records initial delivery to Jaguar of Troy, Michigan, and a total suggested retail price of $62,450. The battery was replaced under previous ownership, and the automatic climate control was serviced at that time. The Pirelli tires on the alloy wheels were fitted in 2026.

The listing is candid about wear. Photographs show some blemishes, and corrosion is noted on underside components. The seller says the rear Jaguar emblem has fallen off, but a replacement is included in the sale. He also reports that the ABS warning light comes on at around 10 mph. The six-digit odometer reads 36,000 miles, with about 50 of those added under current ownership.

The XJS is a grand touring convertible from the later years of the model's production, and this example's combination of low mileage, complete paperwork and a documented ownership history is the main selling point. The car is being offered through Bring a Trailer.
