A 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa with a six-speed manual and about 14,000 miles is on consignment with a Bring a Trailer partner dealer, with full service records and a clean history report.

A 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa finished in black over Cashmere leather is on offer through a Bring a Trailer Local Partner dealer, with 14,000 miles on the odometer. The car has been registered in Texas, Arizona and Louisiana since new, and it is presented with a window sticker, owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report and a clean Louisiana title.
The car first appeared on Bring a Trailer in May 2019. It has spent most of its time in storage since its current owner bought it in June 2019, and roughly 200 of the 14,000 miles were added under that ownership. The window sticker records initial delivery to a Porsche Center in San Antonio, Texas, and a total factory price of $71,940.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.6-litre M64 flat-six with a VarioRam intake system, rated by the factory at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The engine is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. Maintenance noted in the listing includes fuel, air and cabin filters, spark plugs and battery work, with an oil change and battery replacement recorded in September 2026. The gearbox fluid was changed in May 2024, and shifter bushings were reportedly replaced in September 2026.
The 993-generation Targa uses the convertible bodyshell with a revised roof featuring a lifting and sliding glass centre section, rather than the removable top of earlier Targa models. This example also has a power-operated glass roof panel, headlight washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler and a fixed “basket handle” rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light. It has dual exhaust outlets.
Targa-specific two-piece 17-inch Speedline wheels are fitted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tyres. Porsche-branded calipers work over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners, and the brake lines were replaced in May 2024, with brake fluid flushed in September 2026. The front seats offer two-way height adjustment and are trimmed in Cashmere leather. Equipment includes a Porsche CDR-210 stereo, cruise control and air conditioning, and the driver’s window switch was replaced in September 2026.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation, including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, an analogue clock and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level and fuel level. The listing notes an imperfection on the front-right fender and that the windshield cowl trim has been repainted. The car is otherwise described as having a clean history, with no reported accidents or other damage in its Carfax report.
