Safari-Style 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe Heads to Auction
A 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S coupe modified with an Elephant Racing safari suspension kit, FVD Brombacher exhaust, and 18-inch BBS wheels is offered for sale with 84,000 miles and extensive service records.

A 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S coupe that has been comprehensively modified in the style of a safari rally car is being offered for sale, bringing together the 997.2 generation's all-weather performance with the visual and mechanical cues of off-road competition machinery.
The car was purchased by its current owner in 2023 and subsequently fitted with an Elephant Racing safari suspension kit, an FVD Brombacher exhaust system, a Yakima roof rack with cargo basket, a front light bar, and grey-finished 18-inch BBS SR wheels mounted with Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail tyres. The conversion also required relocating the front radiators and applying tensioned straps to the rear fender liners to increase tyre clearance. The brake fluid was flushed and the TPMS sensors, front brake rotors, and pads were replaced during the same period.
Finished in Carrara White with Martini-livery graphics over black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.8-litre flat-six engine rated at 385 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque from the factory, featuring VarioCam Plus variable valve timing. Power is delivered to all four wheels through a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle. The 997 Carrera 4S is distinguished from the standard Carrera by wider rear bodywork and a reflective strip between the taillights.
Service under current ownership has been extensive. In 2023 and 2024, the water pump, tensioner, and belt were replaced along with the oil-pressure sender, oil-cooler seals, spark plugs, ignition coils, and the thermostat and housing gaskets. RSS engine mounts were also fitted. During the safari conversion, the transmission pan and front-differential seals were replaced, and the transmission, differential, and clutch fluids were changed. The oil was most recently changed in November 2025. A service record from that month indicated the left-front axle boot was leaking grease, and the left-front fender liner has been replaced.
The odometer shows 84,000 miles, approximately 3,000 of which were added under current ownership. The car is offered with owner's manuals, service records, a clean Carfax report free of accident or damage entries, and a clean New Mexico title in the seller's name. The front bumper cover was replaced under prior ownership.
Equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package Plus with a dashboard-mounted stopwatch, xenon headlights with cornering illumination, Park Assist, a sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, auto-dimming mirrors, and polished exhaust outlets. Inside, the heated front seats are trimmed in black leather, complemented by automatic climate control, folding rear seats, illuminated carbon-fibre door sills, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and Porsche Communication Management with navigation, Bluetooth, and an added adapter for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The heated steering wheel is trimmed in leather and carbon fibre and frames a central tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The hood-release and mode-selector switches have been replaced under current ownership.
The safari-style build places the car in a growing tradition of modifying Porsche 911s for rough-road and overland use, a practice that has gained visibility in recent years through enthusiast events and aftermarket specialists. The combination of all-wheel drive, a dual-clutch transmission, and raised suspension gives the car a dual character that is unusual among modern sports cars, allowing it to retain its road-going performance while adding a degree of capability on loose surfaces.
The Yakima roof rack and cargo basket carry a spare wheel, recovery boards, and the front light bar, reinforcing the utilitarian theme. The 18-inch BBS wheels are secured over 35mm spacers, and the Falken Wildpeak tyres are sized 235/50. The car rides on the Elephant Racing safari suspension kit installed in 2023 and 2024, which raises the ride height and increases suspension travel compared with the standard setup.
