A 2024 Volkswagen Golf R equipped with a six-speed manual transaxle and just 3,400 miles has been listed for sale, offering enthusiasts a rare chance to acquire the final generation of the manual Golf R. The car is finished in Lapiz Blue Metallic over Titan Black Nappa leather with blue accents, and it retains its factory window sticker showing an original total price of $47,861.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-litre EA888 Evo4 inline-four with direct fuel injection and variable valve timing, rated at 315 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine sends drive to all four wheels through a torque-vectoring 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system. A DAP VW short-shift kit was installed when the car was new, and the removed factory shift linkage will accompany the sale. An oil change was carried out in summer 2025.
The Mk8 Golf R is distinguished from the contemporary GTI by revised bumper covers, side skirts, a two-piece rear spoiler, a rear diffuser, quad exhaust outlets, and R badging. This example adds matte-aluminium-look mirror caps, a panoramic sunroof, a rear-window wiper, automatic LED headlights, LED taillights, an integrated light bar in the front grille, Poor Weather Lights, rain-sensing wipers, and side-mirror puddle lights with R-logo projection.
Black-finished 19-inch alloy wheels with machined accents are mounted with 235/35 Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 tyres. Dynamic Chassis Control with electronically adjustable dampers is fitted, while braking is handled by four-wheel discs with blue-finished calipers, R logos on the front calipers, two-piece vented and cross-drilled front rotors, and vented rear rotors. Curb marks are noted on the right-rear wheel.
Inside, the heated and ventilated Top Sport front seats are trimmed in Titan Black Nappa leather with blue accents and embroidered R emblems on the backrests. Equipment includes Climatronic Touch three-zone automatic climate control, a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with position memory, a manually adjustable front passenger seat with power recline and manual lumbar support, heated outboard rear seats, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, multi-colour ambient lighting, a black headliner, stainless-steel pedal caps, a head-up display, wireless device charging, and a Harman Kardon sound system.
The Discover Pro infotainment system features a 10-inch touchscreen with navigation, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and wireless App-Connect. The heated multifunction Golf R sport steering wheel has capacitive touch controls and an R button, and it fronts a Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro instrument cluster with a 200-mph speedometer, tachometer, auxiliary readouts, and a central display.
Driver-assistance equipment includes Front Assist, Active Side Assist, Rear Traffic Alert, Lane Assist, Travel Assist, adaptive cruise control, Park Distance Control, Park Assist, Light Assist, Dynamic Road Sign Display, Hill Hold Control, and a rearview camera. The digital odometer reads 3,400 miles.
The car is offered with the removed factory shift linkage, the window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name. The window sticker shows initial delivery to Volkswagen of Lakeland, Florida. The seller acquired the car new.
