A factory M505 slant nose 930 Turbo coupe, refreshed at a cost of around $90,000 with a K27 turbocharger and Fabspeed components, is offered for sale with 68,000 miles and a clean California title.

A factory-built 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo slant nose coupe, refreshed at a cost of approximately $90,000, is being offered for sale in California with 68,000 miles on the odometer. The car, designated M505 under Porsche's internal option code for the flachbau bodywork, is one of the rarest variants of the 930-generation Turbo and has been extensively reworked under its current ownership since 2024.
The slant nose package, known within Porsche as flachbau, replaced the standard 911's upright round headlights with pop-up units set into a flattened front end. The M505 version also brought vented front fenders, side strakes and extended side sills, giving the car a wider, lower stance than the standard Turbo. The option was costly when new and remains among the most distinctive factory specifications applied to the 930.
Mechanically, the turbocharged 3.3-litre flat-six has been fitted with an upgraded timing chain and tensioners, a K27 turbocharger and a Fabspeed intercooler and exhaust manifolds. An engine-out service completed in 2026 by Pullman Fabrication of Walnut Creek, California, included an RSR-style oil crossover feed and replacement of front cover seals, lower case seals, oil lines, valve cover gaskets, ignition wires, spark plugs, heater hoses, fuel pumps and camshaft gaskets. A valve adjustment followed in February 2024, alongside new oil cooler seals, a fuel accumulator and motor mounts.
Power reaches the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Work in 2024 covered the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, shifter bushings and joint, and axles. The car passed a California emissions inspection in October 2025, although the listing notes that various modifications are not CARB compliant, a point of practical relevance for buyers in the state.
The cabin was retrimmed in black leather in April 2024, with a replacement dashboard and carpeting installed at the same time. Sound deadening has since been applied, the analogue clock replaced, and a Porsche Classic Radio head unit fitted alongside Audison speakers and a JL Audio amplifier. A three-spoke steering wheel was installed in April 2025, framing VDO instrumentation that includes a central tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline, a 170-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, fuel level and boost pressure.
The car rides on 18-inch multi-piece wheels with polished lips and hardware, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs, and Turbo models received front and rear sway bars as standard. The sunroof was serviced in April 2024, with the sunroof and rear windscreen seals replaced later that year. An aftermarket exhaust system is also fitted.
Documentation includes service records, spare parts and a clean California title in the owner's name. The removed steering wheel, door panels, radio and speakers are included in the sale, along with a Porsche-branded car cover. The options sticker confirms black paint, black leather upholstery, California specification, a Blaupunkt Reno cassette stereo, the slant nose package, an alarm system and a power sunroof.
The Carfax report records damage in a January 2007 entry and an undated accident that likely occurred between February 2002 and February 2005. Approximately 700 of the indicated miles have been added under current ownership. The car is offered by a Bring a Trailer Local Partner on behalf of the owner.
