A 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena finished in Grigio Titanio is being offered for sale in California, giving collectors a chance to acquire one of the most usable modern V8 Ferraris with documented maintenance and a clean history. The car shows 37,000 miles on its digital odometer and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2026.
The 360 Modena was designed by Pininfarina and built around an aluminium body, a combination that helped define the model's reputation for lighter weight and sharper responses than its predecessor. This example wears Grigio Titanio paint, a subtle silver-grey shade, and features xenon headlights, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, a Challenge-style rear grille and quad exhaust outlets exiting through the rear fascia.
Power comes from a mid-mounted 3.6-litre Tipo F131 V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft, dry-sump lubrication, dual overhead camshafts and five valves per cylinder. Factory output was rated at 400 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through an electrohydraulic six-speed F1 sequential transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The timing belts and tensioner were replaced in 2026, addressing the most important service item on these engines.
The car rides on silver-finished 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which were fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres in 2026. Braking is handled by red-finished Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at each corner. Inside, the cockpit is trimmed in Nero leather with matching door panel inserts and carpets. Equipment includes a CD stereo, a remote CD changer, automatic climate control and aluminium pedals. The sticky buttons that commonly affect this generation were repaired in 2026.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline, along with a digital fuel level readout and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature and coolant temperature. Paddle shifters for the F1 gearbox are mounted behind the steering wheel.
The sale includes the owner's manual, service records, a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title. The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage, and a video showing the underside of the car is available to prospective buyers.
The 360 Modena occupies a significant place in Ferrari's modern history. Introduced as the successor to the F355, it moved to an all-aluminium spaceframe and body, and its F1-style paddle-shift transaxle brought Formula One-derived technology to a road car. The model is now widely regarded as an accessible entry point into modern Ferrari ownership, with the caveat that engine-out servicing and belt changes are essential. This car's recent timing belt work and documented records make it a more reassuring proposition than many examples on the market.
For buyers in the United States, the combination of a clean Florida title, a clean Carfax report and California-based sale adds practical appeal. The 360 Modena remains a usable grand tourer with enough performance to satisfy modern expectations, while its Pininfarina lines and naturally aspirated V8 give it a character that later turbocharged models have not replicated.
