A 1995 Ford Taurus SHO in Silver Frost, with a five-speed manual transmission and 134,000 miles, has been put up for sale after nearly a decade with one owner.

A 1995 Ford Taurus SHO with a five-speed manual transmission has been listed for sale on the Bring a Trailer auction site. The car is painted in Silver Frost and, according to the seller, is one of roughly 1,245 examples in that color produced that model year. The car is interesting because it combines the factory features of the sporty version with a number of modifications that were made under a different owner.
The car's first owner was a resident of Connecticut who kept it until 2016. The current seller acquired the car that same year and has been modifying it since. Despite this, the bodywork is not perfect: a body shop repaired a dent on the left rear quarter panel, and the areas that were repainted are visible under close inspection. The car has 134,000 miles on the odometer, and about 11,000 of those were added during the current ownership.
Under the hood is a 3.0-liter V6 with the factory 220 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque. The transmission was rebuilt in August 2019. In 2017 the clutch was replaced, with a heavy-duty pressure plate and a forged flywheel installed. A Quaife limited-slip differential helps deliver power to the wheels. The exhaust system includes a Catco dual catalytic converter setup with a Y-pipe, and the intake manifold is an aftermarket part.
The running gear has also been substantially modified. In 2018 a front subframe and spindles from a 2001 model-year Ford Taurus were installed, Bilstein shocks are fitted at the front, and the springs and rear struts were replaced with new ones. The front brakes have 11.6-inch rotors, and the ABS system works on all four wheels. The wheels are 16-inch Slicers wrapped in 215/60 Goodyear tires with a mid-2023 manufacturing date, so the rubber is relatively fresh.
The interior is trimmed in gray-mocha cloth and leather, taken from the seller's donor car. The heater core, its blower motor, and the resistor were replaced, which matters for comfort in winter. Climate control, cruise control, power windows, central locking, and a premium audio system are all included. However, the carpet has stains from residue of the steel parking brake stopper, which is one of the noticeable flaws in the interior.
The car's history is documented. A factory window sticker indicates the car was sold through the Dillon Sales dealership in Manchester, Connecticut, for $27,740. The Carfax report is clean, with no accidents recorded. This history lets a buyer trace the car's path from the showroom to the present without gaps.
The most unusual aspect of the sale concerns the paperwork. The car is being sold on the basis of a Connecticut state registration marked 'Duplicate,' and, as the seller notes, the state does not issue titles for vehicles of this age. In other words, ownership is documented only by the registration document, without a conventional title, which could complicate registration and resale for a buyer from another region. The sale price and the final auction result are not given in the materials, so the outcome of the bidding remains unknown.
