Low-Mileage 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8 Heads to Auction

A 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe with only 495 miles on its odometer is being offered for sale, presenting a rare opportunity to acquire an essentially unused example of the first mid-engined Corvette generation. The car was purchased new by its current owner and is finished in Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat with dual full-length Carbon Flash Metallic racing stripes over a Natural-Dipped leather interior.

The C8 Corvette was ordered with two of the most desirable option packages available: the Z51 Performance Package and the 3LT Premium Equipment Group. The Z51 package adds a performance exhaust system, Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension, a heavy-duty cooling system, and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. The 3LT group brings a 14-speaker Bose sound system, Chevrolet Infotainment 3 with navigation, a Performance Data and Video Recorder, and a head-up display.

Power comes from a mid-mounted 6.2-litre LT2 V8 engine factory-rated at 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle sending drive to the rear wheels. The car also features a front suspension lift system, a $1,495 option, while the Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension added $1,895 to the total price. The Engine Appearance Package was specified at a further $995.

Exterior details include a removable roof panel, LED headlights, power-folding side mirrors, front and rear cameras, and a Z51-specific rear spoiler fitted with aftermarket winglets. A ceramic coating has been applied to the bodywork. The car rides on Spectra Gray-painted 19-inch and 20-inch five-spoke Trident wheels with machined faces, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. Bright Red-painted Z51-branded Brembo brake calipers grip ventilated rotors at each corner.

Inside, Natural-Dipped leather covers the heated and ventilated power-adjustable GT2 bucket seats and extends across the dashboard, centre console, and door panels. Sueded microfibre upholsters the lower dash and console. The heated sueded-microfibre-wrapped steering wheel features paddle shifters and frames a 12-inch configurable digital instrument cluster. A digital odometer confirms the 495-mile reading.

Documentation accompanying the sale includes a photocopy of the original window sticker, which notes initial delivery to Stone Chevrolet Buick GMC in Tulare, California, and lists a total vehicle price of $86,005. Service records and a clean Carfax report free of accidents or other reported damage are also included. The car carries a clean California title in the seller's name.

The C8 generation marked a fundamental shift in Corvette engineering, moving the engine behind the cabin for the first time in the model's history. This reconfiguration brought improved weight distribution and performance characteristics closer to European mid-engined rivals, a change that significantly broadened the car's appeal among enthusiasts and collectors alike.

With the Z51 Performance Package and 3LT trim, this example represents a highly specified version of the C8 Stingray. The combination of low mileage, comprehensive documentation, and desirable options positions it as a notable offering for buyers seeking a well-preserved early C8.
