A 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo with 57,000 miles is being offered for sale, presenting a well-documented example of the model with a full record of service and original paperwork. The car was first sold in California, was previously offered on Bring a Trailer in March 2016, and was acquired by the current seller in 2021.
The car is finished in Alpine White over Champagne partial leather. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four rated by the factory at 217 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque, sending power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch was replaced in 2016, the transaxle mount in 2018, and the transaxle fluid most recently changed in 2025.
Equipment includes Koni Sport dampers front and rear, four-wheel disc brakes and 16-inch BBS wheels with gold centres and polished lips. The wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tyres manufactured in 2022. Exterior details include pop-up LED headlights, fog lights, power-adjustable side mirrors, a steel sunroof and a rear spoiler, while paint protection film is reportedly applied to the front fascia, doors and parts of the quarter panels. The driver door and areas of the left side and rear were refinished in 2021.
Inside, the front bucket seats and folding rear bench are trimmed in Champagne partial leather. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, an alarm system, power windows and a Blaupunkt stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, along with gauges for coolant temperature, turbo boost, oil pressure, voltage and fuel level. The seller notes that the digital clock screen is foggy.
The mileage shown on the repaired six-digit odometer is 57,000, with roughly 8,000 miles added under the current ownership. A timing belt service was performed in 2018. Work since then has included replacing the power steering pump and hoses, coolant hose, air/oil separator, cylinder head gasket, intake and exhaust manifold gaskets and studs, fuel rail and number one fuel injector, distributor rotor and cap, ignition wires, spark plugs, air and fuel filters, engine mounts, hood struts, starter and heat shield. The brake fluid was flushed in 2025.
The sale includes a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, the original window sticker, sales literature, a spare set of wheels, service records and spare parts. The window sticker records initial delivery to De Anza Porsche in Riverside, California, and lists a total price of $33,142. The Carfax report is clean and shows no accidents or reported damage since its first entry in July 1991, and the car carries a clean North Carolina title in the seller's name.
