A 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster finished in Silver Metallic over black leather is being offered for sale in California on dealer consignment. The car is one of 823 US-market examples produced for the model year and shows just 26,000 miles on its six-digit odometer.

The Speedster remained with its original owner until 2013 and was acquired by its current owner in September 2024. It has been registered in Washington, Oregon, and Montana from new, and approximately 700 of its total mileage has been added under current ownership. The sale includes a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, the owner’s manual, service records, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.

Power comes from a 3.2-litre flat-six engine with Bosch fuel injection, factory rated at 215 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle driving the rear wheels. The oil was changed in June 2026, and the car most recently passed a California emissions test in July 2026.

The Speedster is distinguished by widened rear bodywork shared with the contemporary 911 Turbo, a fibreglass twin-hump convertible-top rear deck, and a shortened windscreen and side windows compared with the standard Carrera. This example left the factory in Silver Metallic and much of its body was repainted by Canepa Design in Scotts Valley, California, in 2014. Equipment includes a black soft top, integrated fog lights, rear bumperettes, and a single exhaust outlet. The windshield-washer pump was replaced in June 2026, and photos showing finish imperfections and paint-meter readings are included in the gallery.

Staggered-width 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tyres showing date codes from 2013 and 2014. Braking is handled by black Porsche-script calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners, and the brake fluid was flushed in June 2026.

Inside, power-adjustable seats are upholstered in black leather and complemented by a colour-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. The Speedster was not equipped with rear seats. Additional equipment includes a short-throw shifter, air conditioning, cruise control, and a cassette stereo, with an aftermarket amplifier stationed in the rear storage compartment. The right-door release was repaired in June 2026, and the removed head unit is included in the sale. A four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel was fitted in June 2026 and frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline, a 170-mph speedometer, an analogue clock, and gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, oil level, and fuel level.

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists a production completion date of July 4, 1989, along with factory options and identification numbers. The Carfax report is free from accidents or other reported damage.
