A 1997 Ferrari 456 GTA, a grand tourer with just 26,000 kilometers on the odometer, is being offered for sale in California. The car was sold new in Japan and remained with its original owner there until it was imported to the United States in 2024 following the current owner’s purchase. It is now listed on dealer consignment with a clean Montana title.
The 456 GTA is finished in Argento Nurburgring over black Connolly leather, a combination that highlights the Pininfarina-designed aluminum and composite bodywork. The exterior features pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and polished quadruple exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance. The silver 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, and the car rides on self-adjusting dampers with self-leveling rear suspension as standard equipment.
Inside, the cabin is upholstered in black Connolly leather that extends from the seating surfaces to the center console, lower dashboard, and door panels. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, power windows, a CD stereo, and air conditioning. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation, including a 320 km/h speedometer, a 10,000 rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are located in the center stack. Scratches are noted on the inner door panels.
Power comes from a 5.5-liter F116 V12 engine with four valves per cylinder, Bosch Motronic fuel injection, and dry-sump lubrication. It was factory rated at 436 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. The engine mounts were replaced in 2021, and a timing belt service was completed in 2022, at which time the drive belts and spark plugs were also replaced. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transaxle.
The six-digit odometer shows approximately 26,000 kilometers, or about 16,000 miles, with roughly 1,100 kilometers added under current ownership. The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage from its first entry in May 2024. The car is titled in Montana but is located in California, and it has not undergone a California emissions test or been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair or the Air Resources Board.
The sale includes the owner’s manual, service records, a car cover, and a clean Carfax report. This 456 GTA represents a low-mileage example of Ferrari’s 1990s front-engine V12 grand tourer, a model that combined luxury with performance in a package designed by Pininfarina.
