A 1997 Ferrari F355 GTS finished in Modena Yellow over black Connolly leather is being offered for sale, bringing a well-documented example of the Pininfarina-designed mid-engine sports car to the market. The car is a Canadian-market model that shows 80,000 kilometres, approximately 50,000 miles, and carries registration and service history in Ontario, Montana, and Tennessee. It was previously sold in August 2024 and has since been acquired by Foreign Affairs Motorsport, a local partner in Florida.
The F355 GTS is powered by a mid-mounted 3.5-litre DOHC V8 factory rated at 375 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. The engine features five valves per cylinder and dry-sump lubrication, and it has been fitted with Tubi Style headers and a Capristo cat-back exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a gated six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, a combination that has made the F355 a favourite among enthusiasts who prize analogue driving experiences.
An engine-out belt service was completed in March 2023, with additional work at that time including resurfacing the cylinder heads, repainting the valve covers, changing the fluids, and replacing the cylinder-head and valve-cover gaskets. In October 2024, the starter and an exhaust-manifold gasket were replaced. The following March, the thermostat, ignition wires, engine mounts, and accessory belts were replaced, along with one or more camshaft seals and valve-cover gaskets. The most recent oil change was carried out in May 2026. A replacement clutch and flywheel were installed in September 2024.
The exterior is finished in Modena Yellow, with the bumper covers and quarter panels repainted in preparation for the sale. Features include a removable black targa top, pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, flying-buttress C-pillars, an integrated rear spoiler, a rearview camera, a Challenge-style rear grille, quad exhaust outlets, a vented engine cover, and air intakes on the doors and rocker panels. There is bubbled paint at the base of the right-side mirror housing, and other areas show chipped and bubbled paint. The car rides on five-spoke 18-inch magnesium wheels mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres produced in 2023. Ferrari-branded brake calipers are mounted over ventilated discs, and the brake and power-steering fluids were reportedly flushed in March 2023.
Inside, the sport seats are upholstered in black Connolly leather that extends to the lower dashboard, centre console, and door-panel inserts. Additional appointments include a gated shifter, automatic climate control, a Bluetooth-equipped Continental stereo, drilled aluminium pedals, and carbon-fibre sill guards that have some scratches. The roof-panel headliner has some indentations. The air-conditioning refrigerant was recharged in March 2025. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 320-km/h speedometer, a 10,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. An analogue clock and additional instruments for fuel level and oil temperature are housed in the centre stack.
The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 80,000 kilometres, approximately 50,000 miles, about 100 of which were added under current ownership. The car is offered with owner’s manuals, a tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title. The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries. The F355 GTS remains a significant model for Ferrari, representing a high point of 1990s mid-engine design and engineering, and examples with a manual transaxle and documented service history continue to attract attention from collectors and drivers alike.
