A 2004 Ferrari 360 Spider with just 14,000 miles on the odometer is being offered for sale in California by a consigning dealer. The car, finished in the classic Rosso Corsa over beige leather, is equipped with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, a combination that has become increasingly sought after by collectors and driving enthusiasts.
The 360 Spider was delivered new to Ferrari of Orange County in Costa Mesa, California. It was previously offered on Bring a Trailer in August 2024 before being acquired by the current owner later that same year. It now returns to the market with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a Montana title. The consigning dealer is a Bring a Trailer Local Partner.
Under the rear deck sits a mid-mounted 3.6-litre Tipo F131 V8 featuring a flat-plane crankshaft, dry-sump lubrication, dual overhead camshafts, and five valves per cylinder. Factory-rated output was 400 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the six-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential. The car rides on 18-inch two-piece BBS alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres, sized 215/45 at the front and 275/40 at the rear. Stopping power comes from red Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at each corner.
The Pininfarina-designed aluminium body is finished in Rosso Corsa and features xenon headlights, a power-retractable black convertible soft top, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, Challenge-style front and rear grilles, and quad exhaust outlets exiting through the rear fascia. The front bumper cover has been repainted, according to the listing. The cockpit is trimmed in beige leather with black accents, extending to the lower dashboard and door panels. Power-adjustable Daytona-style seats, a gated shifter, aluminium pedals, a Ferrari-branded head unit, and automatic climate control are among the amenities. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline, along with a digital fuel level readout and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, and coolant temperature.
The digital odometer indicates 14,000 miles. The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage. However, the car failed a California emissions inspection in April 2019 and has not subsequently passed, a detail that may affect its registration status in the state. The car is being offered with a Montana title, which may simplify the transfer for a buyer outside California.
The 360 Spider remains a significant model in Ferrari’s modern history, marking the marque’s transition into the 21st century with an all-aluminium chassis and a design by Pininfarina. The open-top Spider variant added a power soft top and reinforced structure, broadening the car’s appeal without diluting its performance. Examples with the six-speed manual gearbox are particularly desirable today, as most 360s were ordered with the F1 automated manual. The gated shifter and three-pedal layout give the car a more analogue driving experience that many enthusiasts now prize.
