A 1999 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible finished in Hugger Orange is heading to auction with a six-speed manual gearbox and a catalogue of performance modifications. The car is one of 34 six-speed manual SS convertibles finished in that colour for the model year, and it has covered 55,000 miles. The listing presents it as a fourth-generation Camaro SS that combines factory performance hardware with a series of aftermarket upgrades added over its life.

Power comes from a 5.7-litre LS1 V8. According to the seller, the engine has been fitted with forged pistons and connecting rods, a Wilson FAST intake manifold and throttle body, Injector Dynamics 1000cc fuel injectors, Hooker exhaust headers and an aftermarket camshaft. Jesel shaft rockers and a Mightymouse Solutions catch can are also listed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission reportedly fitted with a RAM clutch and a Tick Performance master cylinder, along with a chromoly driveshaft and a Moser Engineering Ford 9-inch rear axle. An MGW short-throw shifter completes the drivetrain changes. The alternator and fuel pump were reportedly replaced under prior ownership.

The chassis has been reworked as well. Hotchkis lowering springs, Koni adjustable shock absorbers, UMI Performance rear lower control arms and BMR Suspension components including a panhard rod, torque arm, crossmember and frame connectors are all said to be fitted. Braking is handled by four-wheel antilock slotted discs, and the master cylinder and rear hoses were replaced under prior ownership. The car also retains the factory Acceleration Slip Regulation and the Performance Handling Package, which added fast-ratio power steering, a larger front stabilizer bar and dual exhaust outlets.

Outside, the car wears Hugger Orange paint (99U) with a black convertible soft top, a hood scoop, fog lights, a rear spoiler, twin centre exhaust outlets and SS badges. Silver 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with older 275/40 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR tyres. The seller notes that paint chips on the front bumper cover have been touched up and that the edges of the rear valance are warped.

Inside, the front bucket seats and contoured rear seats are trimmed in Dark Gray leather. Equipment includes a power-adjustable driver seat, air conditioning, cruise control, a CD stereo and a Monsoon sound system. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames white-dial instrumentation, with a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,000-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage and fuel level. An AEM digital wideband gauge sits ahead of the shifter, and the air conditioning compressor was replaced under prior ownership.

The car was acquired by the selling dealer on Bring a Trailer in June 2024 and is offered with manufacturer's literature, a car cover and a clean Florida title. The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage. The digital odometer reads 55,000 miles, approximately 70 of which were added by the selling dealer during its time in their hands.
