A 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo, one of the W124 generation, is being offered for sale at no reserve after spending its first four decades with a single original owner. The car remained registered in Florida and New York until the current seller bought it in 2026, and it shows 94,000 miles on the odometer, roughly 3,000 of which were added under the present ownership.

Under the bonnet sits the 3.0-litre OM603 turbodiesel inline-six, a unit that was factory rated at 143 horsepower and 196 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The engine layout and drivetrain reflect the robust, long-lived diesel engineering for which Mercedes-Benz models of this era were known, although the listing does not describe the car's current mechanical condition beyond the mileage and records.

The car is finished in Light Ivory paint with a sliding steel sunroof, headlamp wipers and a power-telescoping antenna, and the listing notes clearcoat damage that is documented in close-up photographs in the gallery. Its 15-inch Gullideckel wheels, finished in silver, are fitted with Pirelli tyres, and anti-lock disc brakes are fitted at each corner. Inside, the power-adjustable front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in Palomino MB-Tex, matching the dashboard, centre console, door panels and carpets, with wood accents on the dash, centre stack and doors.

Equipment includes power windows, automatic climate control and an aftermarket stereo, although the listing says the stereo intermittently does not work. The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation with a 140-mph speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer, an analogue clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure.

The paperwork accompanying the sale is extensive. The window sticker records initial delivery to Lokey Motor Company in Clearwater, Florida, along with the factory colours, equipment and a total suggested retail price of $42,570. The offer includes manufacturer's literature and service records dating back to new, and a Carfax report that shows no accidents or other reported damage. The New York title lists the odometer reading as exempt because the vehicle is more than ten years old, and it is held in the owner's name.

Because the car is offered without a reserve, the eventual sale price will be set entirely by bidding. The listing presents the W124 300D Turbo as a largely original example with a clean history and complete documentation, a combination that is typically of interest to collectors of late-generation diesel Mercedes-Benz saloons.
