Richard Rawlings, the star of Gas Monkey Garage, is back with another sweeping assemblage of American iron, with a handful of German machines included for good measure. The 2026 Gas Monkey Garage Collection, listed on Bring a Trailer, comprises 16 auctions that began on 22 October and close today, starting at 10:30am Pacific and 1:30pm Eastern. Four years after the first collection, the offering arrives as a broad survey of vintage motoring, from pony cars and pickups to scooters and vintage signage.

Among the highlights is a big-block 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S coupe. It is one of 252 coupes equipped with the 383ci V8 for the model year, and only 154 of those also came with a four-speed manual gearbox. The Formula S package adds an anti-sway bar and Firm-Ride shock absorbers, which period literature claimed let the car «take corners with gyroscope sureness». A 1968 Ford Mustang coupe in Highland Green shows just 1,033 miles. Its history was documented by Dennis Collins, and it was reportedly bought by its original owner to one-up her mother and her Maverick. The spec is modest, with a 200ci inline-six, a three-speed automatic and dealer-installed air conditioning. A 1987 Chevrolet Corvette coupe, a former Bring a Trailer sale, shows 1,600 miles after remaining with its original owner and family until 2023.

The collection also includes a custom 1978 Dodge Tradesman B200 Maxivan dubbed «Ulysess», with airbrushed scenes from Homer’s epic by artist and customiser Mike Pierce, who added hand-carved woodwork inside. The van toured the show circuit from 1978 to 1982 before long-term storage until the early 2020s, was recently recommissioned, and won the Flying Eagle award at the 48th Van Nationals in 2021. Other entries include a 1957 BMW Isetta 300 with an air-cooled 298cc single, which Rawlings acquired in 2023, and a 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG with over 600 horsepower, bought on the same platform in December 2023.

German offerings extend to a stanced 1974 Volkswagen Thing with a textured green finish, EMPI 15-inch wheels, driving lights and a luggage rack. The American line-up features a 1985 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 IROC-Z with 41,000 miles, a model that paid homage to the International Race of Champions and carried a front spoiler, rocker panels, a louvered hood and upgraded suspension. A 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT 4×4 received a replacement 351ci V8 after Rawlings bought it in 2024, and its crew has since overhauled the interior, air conditioning and suspension.

Smaller machines are represented by two Mustang motorcycles, a 1959 Model 8DV and a 1963 Thoroughbred, from a lineup that dates to the late 1940s when John Gladden of Gladden Products saw an opportunity for a lightweight motorbike after World War II. The two Cushman scooters, a 1958 Eagle and an assembled Model 52, are being sold on dealer consignment. The collection closes with three large signs: two illuminated Harley-Davidson signs and a Cadillac marquee made up of individual letters weathered to near perfection.
