A 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450SLC is being offered at no reserve, with spare parts and a Washington title in the seller's name. The car, which shows 122,000 miles, was reportedly bought by the seller from the estate of its original owner and has been repainted silver under previous ownership, although it left the factory in Astral Silver Metallic over blue leather.

The seller reports a significant round of work completed in March 2026. Services included removing and cleaning the fuel tank, rebuilding the idle air slide valve, and replacing the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel distributor, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, ignition wires and the battery. The front brake calipers, rotors, pads and brake wear sensor were also replaced, along with a brake fluid flush. A paint correction was carried out at the same time, and the 14-inch Bundt alloy wheels were fitted with Hankook tyres.

Under the bonnet sits a 4.5-litre M117 V8 driving the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes that the transmission fluid needs servicing and that the transmission oil pan filter and gasket are included with the sale. The differential fluid was serviced in March, and the secondary air injection pump has been disconnected. The seller also flags a power steering fluid leak, and says the air conditioning and cruise control are inoperative.

The C107 450SLC has a wheelbase roughly 14 inches longer than the convertible SL, which provides room for rear seats. This example has fog lights, a sunroof, dual side mirrors, a power antenna, chrome bumpers and polished aluminium trim. Corrosion is noted around the edges of the sunroof and the bonnet. Inside, the blue leather seats are matched by a colour-coordinated dashboard, centre console and doors, and the car is equipped with front headrests and armrests, a Motorola cassette stereo, and power locks and windows.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 122,000 miles, of which about 500 were added under the current ownership. The Washington state title carries an “Exempt” odometer notation.

Decoding the data tag shows the car was specified with Astral Silver Metallic paint, a central locking system with English-lettering instruments, a U.S.-spec build, a Becker Mexico AM/FM/cassette stereo, an automatic antenna, Behr air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, heat-insulating glass, a heated rear window, laminated safety glass, and the elimination of the warning triangle.
