The online auction site Bring a Trailer is offering a 2016 Volkswagen Golf R with a six-speed manual transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. The car is painted in Lapiz Blue Metallic, and its mileage is 61,000 miles. The seller bought the car new, and it is equipped with the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and Navigation packages.

Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder EA888 engine. Power is sent to all four wheels through the six-speed manual and the 4MOTION system. The owner has made several changes: a Burger Motorsports piggyback tuning device, added in February 2016; a Sprint Booster V3 throttle control module, installed in September 2020; a gas pedal overlay; and an adjustable SuperPro rear sway bar, installed in January 2016. The restrictor insert in the clutch delay valve on the clutch slave cylinder block has also been removed, as has the snow guard grille on the intake duct.

The car rides on 18-inch MSW wheels with 235/40 Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires, installed in March 2025. The suspension includes Dynamic Chassis Control adaptive dampers, brakes with ventilated discs, and front calipers bearing the Golf R logo. A temporary spare tire is stored under the trunk floor.

The interior features black Titan Black leather upholstery with white stitching, heated front sport seats with embroidered R emblems, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry and push-button start, a Fender audio system, and the Discover Media infotainment system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, navigation, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The multifunction steering wheel frames a speedometer reading up to 200 mph, a tachometer up to 8,000 rpm, and a central information display showing fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows 61,000 miles. Outside, the car has adaptive xenon headlights, a rear spoiler on the trunk lid, a rear window wiper, and four exhaust tips. The factory gas pedal overlay is covered by an additional plate.

Maintenance since April 2025 included a Haldex fluid change in April, an air filter and spark plug replacement in October 2025, and an oil change in April 2026. The seller notes minor paint damage: the right rear quarter panel and right door were repainted after parking lot scratches in April 2021. Other scratches and dents are noted by the seller in the photo and video gallery. The "R" badges on the grille and trunk lid have been removed.

The lot includes the factory sticker showing initial delivery to the dealer Maund Automotive Group of Austin, Texas, listing the factory colors, equipment, and total price of $39,135. Also included are factory literature, a car cover, touch-up paint, two sets of floor mats, rubber mats, removed parts, and service records. The Carfax report shows no accident history or other documented damage. Ownership is in the seller's name based on a Virginia title.
